Meet Disney Gal Heather AKA Disneymomtojohn (Twitter)

I am Heather from Buffalo NY!  I am a wife, mom to John (2 years) and Sophia (5 months), Oncology nurse, Christian, and Disney fanatic!  I literally eat, sleep, and breathe Disney! 

My real love affair with Disney started about 8 years ago.  My family took our first ever vacation to Disney!  It was August 2004 and 3 hurricanes tore through Florida making it impossible to fly.  Our family of 9 hopped into a van and made the 24 hour trek!  The day that we arrived was one of the best days of my life!  My boyfriend (at the time) had made reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table.  We had a great dinner and dessert.  Wishes had just started over the castle and the waiter brought us our check.  He offered to take a picture of the two of us.  As I handed him the camera, my boyfriend was down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage!  I was so excited!  I of course said yes!  We received a standing ovation from the entire restaurant!  That trip was so magical!

That trip really sealed my love of Disney.  I realized that it is a place where true magic happens.  It is not magic that is forced, and even though we all plan and plan, the magical moments often happen at times when there is no plan in place.  That magic happens when we see the joy in our children's eyes upon seeing Mickey for the first time, it is the tingly feeling on your arms and back when you step foot into the Magic Kingdom and look at the castle, it is the cast member who you think is sweeping the ground and suddenly he is drawing Goofy's face all with just a broom and water, it is your child's first hair cut, or the love you see between two people in their 80's holding hands; walking down Main St. looking like they are in their 20's again.  This magic is what brings a family together, arm in arm at the end of a long day.  It is seeing a son clinging tight to his daddy on his first roller coaster ride.  it is seeing a mom and her princess skipping hand in hand! It is seeing people from all over the world, not being able to understand a word of what they are saying but understanding that twinkle in their eye and the giggles in their voices.

You see this is why I am here.  I want to be able to not only bring you that joy, and share the magic that I see and witness every time I go to Disney, or take a Disney Cruise, or hang my holiday Mickey Decorations, I want to be able to help you to be able to experience this Magic.  Everyone can experience Disney even if you are on a budget! I also know that not everyone is able to go to Disney every year but we can still create Disney magic without even leaving our homes!



I help our family, friends, friends of friends, and a lot of strangers plan their vacation free of charge!  People tell me I am crazy! I am often asked what I could possibly get out of helping people that I don't even know plan vacations!  I explain that I know I was put on this earth to help others!  I know that by helping to plan vacations and giving insider tips, that family will enter the happiest place on earth with a little less stress and be able to immediately create memories as they are welcomed "Home"!
