My name is Lori Hope Fries. I am a true girly-girl and a busy stay at home mom with three amazing sons (23, 21, and 17) and my very own Prince Charming of over 26 years. Saying I’m a Disney aficionado would be an understatement. I am always planning my next Disney trip and crossing things off of my bucket list. I’m currently a proud card-carrying Disney Premier Annual Passholder. We try to go as often as we can: it’s like a pilgrimage; the Mother ship calling me home if you will.
From my first trip to Walt Disney World (during it’s opening month!) I was officially hooked. During college, I was admitted into the Magic Kingdom College Program. That’s where I had my first job as a cast member and lived at the famed Snow White Village. I went on to work for the entertainment division, and I am honored to say I was part of the Zoo Crew!
Sure it was my dream job, but I have always believed that when your Prince Charming comes into your life, you follow him to the ends of the earth (that or temporary insanity). So follow I did, and I worked at a Disney Store and taught preschool for many years. I am always looking for way to bring Disney into my life.
As a cancer fighter, I need the “Magic of Disney” more than ever. Nothing can cure the day-to-day drudgery like planning a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. The celebrations will be over in no time but the memory of those giddy days of preparation will last forever. For me it is a magic medicine my doctors cannot give me.
In addition to my passion for Disney and my family, I am very involved at the local schools and run the non-profit Operation Noah. I am an award winning parade float designer and crafter. I fundraise for the American Cancer Society. I am an angel for Give Kids the World and it is a place that I hold close to my heart.
I love going on trips so if you are ever looking for a get away. I am your gal.

I'm glad you posted lots of pics! They always bring a smile to my face! Amazing story too Lori. You are a trooper!
ReplyDeleteLori I loved how you continue to give back and inspire us all to be more! Can't wait to read your trip reports! You teach us all that life is meant to be lived to the fullest each and every day!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Joy, and I write for the blog: www.disneyparksvacationguide.com. The blog's mission is to become a Disney vacation planning guide and Disney resource for anyone who is seeking assistance in planning their upcoming trip to Disney. We are seeking a writer who would be interested in contributing their Disney expertise and provide our audience with plenty of helpful information in the form of tips, answers to questions, resources, etc. This is a paid opportunity. The best part aside from being able to share with others your love of Disney? You only do the research and writing - all the technical hoopla of the blog will be managed otherwise. Email me at joyz9807@gmail.com if you are interested.
Thanks!
